  1. Thank you Jeffrey. This is actually the second version of the image and it turned out so much better than the fairly similar first version that it is almost staggering. I'm actually really deeply fond of this illustration and very happy with how it turned out. Ominous and slightly sickening.

  2. So strange to picture an animal as massive as whale as weightless as a balloon. And yet, they essentially are weightless in the water.

  3. Jeffrey you are, as always, uncannily perceptive. That feeling of strangeness verging into unsettling distress is precisely what I was hoping to invoke with this rather simple image.
